Health Effects Institute Energy (HEI Energy), a nonprofit organization, is funding independent research on how people in the North Front Range community might be exposed to both noise and chemical emissions to the air from unconventional oil and gas development.

Research is underway in the North Front Range region, and the Colorado Research team funded by HEI Energy is hosting an in-person open house for community members to learn more about research in Adams county.

The Open House will provide an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the research, its purpose and ways that you can engage and stay up-to-date.
  • Meet the research teams from Colorado State University, the Colorado School of Public Health, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
  • View posters illustrating the research and what you can expect while it is underway.
  • See some of the air monitoring equipment the teams are using to detect oil and gas emissions and noise.
  • Interact with research teams directly, ask questions about the research, and share any ideas or concerns. For more information about the research
